Last week at the RBE Library, we showed students our new check in and check out procedures. Our hope is that when students need to check in and check out their books, our new procedures will guide them so that the process in seamless and easy for them.
Since the library can longer employ a substitute, we want to ensure that the library can remail open if if the librarian isn’t there. Also, if students can independently check in and out their books, this will free up the librarian to be able to work with students doing reader’s advisory, inquiry activities, and working with whole classes.
Students in 1st and 2nd grades, also got the Just Right Books talk and were encouraged to use the Five Finger Method to find at least 1 Just Right Book every time they come to the library! You can see the online presentation created by Mrs. Lambert below.
Students also spent the end of their library visit just hanging out and reading! It was a great week in the RBE Library!
