This week at the RBE Library, 2nd grade students are studying citizenship. They are going to come to the library to engage in some stations all about Americans who exhibited the traits of great citizenship and complete THIS activity sheet!
In the stations, they will use computers and laptops to learn about Abigail Adams, Paul Revere, and Sojourner Truth.
Station 1
Paul Revere
Students will use the Biographies on Pebble Go and search for Paul Revere. Students will listen to all the events on the Timeline, and then watch the video below.
Station 2
Sojourner Truth
Students will use the Biographies on Pebble Go and search for Sojourner Truth.
Students will listen to all the events on the Timeline, and then watch the video in Pebble Go.
Station 3
Abigail Adams
Students will use the Biographies on Pebble Go and search for Abigail Adams.
Students will listen to all the events on the Timeline, and then watch the video in Pebble Go.
Station 4
Students will work with a partner to discuss what did Paul Revere, Sojourner Truth, and Abigail Adams do to show they were good citizens? Students will use the Kagan Rally Robin to fill in their T chart on each of the 3 historical figures.
Station 5 What does it mean to be a good citizen?
At this station students will use the Kagan Round Robin to discuss and create a list 3 characteristics of good citizens.
