This Spring Break, I want to challenge RBE readers to do 9 Book Things, or one book thing a day since we are off for 9 days!
Spring Break is a great time to get outside and enjoy the changing weather. I know some students will be traveling, but that is a great opportunity too for reading!
Below is a list of some different things students can do to enjoy reading and books over the break. I hope that these fun activities inspire some enjoyable moments!
9 Book Things For Spring Break
- Take a good book and read outside in the sun.
- Draw a picture or create a piece of art inspired by one of your favorite books.
- At night, crawl under the covers with a flashlight and a great book and get lost in reading.
- Read aloud to someone. A parent, a sibling, a friend. Everyone enjoys being read aloud to!
- Ask someone to read aloud to you and share a special moment with someone you care about.
- Pretend you are one of the characters in a book and play by yourself or with some friends acting out the book. See where it takes you!
- Get a sibling or some friends and put on a play where you act out a book or even just a small part of a book. Perform it for friends or family!
- Find a person, place or event in your book that you don’t know about or understand and look them up (Use MackinVia on the library website!). Learning about new things will help you understand the book better and is something fun to do!
- Take a picture of you reading a book in an interesting position or place and send it to [email protected] and I will post it on the library website!
