13 Gifts is about a girl named Tara, who you say is a “troubled kid.” But during the summer when her parents send her to her cousin’s mansion in a little town called Willow Falls, Tara has been told that this little community has a colorful history. Problems start to arise when she steals something valuable to her uncle,then meets a old woman saying to get some supplies for her to “pay her dept to society.” Tara will soon know many secrets about her parents and will travel a struggling path.
My favorite part was when Tara met her new friends along on her journey: Rory, David, Amanda, and Leo.
If you love thoughtful/ mysterious stories, this is the book for you!
This book’s genre is fantasy. This book’s story line is thoughtful. This book left me feeling curious. On a scale of 1-5, I give this booka 5!
